A Careful Islamic Reading
scripture
The Quranic Picture of Creation
These verses fit an early hot universe and expansion. Their Arabic is broad and theological, not a Big Bang textbook. Classical readers understood divine ordering without modern cosmology.
Key passages

Biblical Cosmology: Genesis and the Created Order
interpretation
Biblical Cosmology and Modern Science
Christians read Genesis through young-earth, old-earth, framework, analogical-day, and evolutionary-creation views. Cosmology describes physical development. Genesis makes theological claims about God, order, dependence, and vocation.

Scholarly Perspectives and Caution Against Overclaiming
A responsible comparison separates compatibility from prediction. A verse may fit science without encoding its model. Creation theology can coexist with more than one physical model. Purpose and divine agency exceed observation alone.

summary
Conclusion
Quran 21:30 and 51:47 can fit an expanding cosmos, but neither gives the Big Bang model. *Musi'un* remains debated. Genesis affirms creation and order, not Hubble expansion. The modest conclusion is compatibility, not prediction or consensus.
